Have you ever heard the little nursery rhyme that goes:
March winds and April showers bring forth May flowers
When the winds and the rain come, we know that spring is right around the corner. And I think we’re all ready for some spring.
During the March Hands-on-Habitat, we’re going to be learning all about the wind.
Did you know the wind helps flowers grow?
Did you know the wind keeps your kite in the air?
Did you know the wind keeps you cool on a hot summer day?
We can’t see it, we can’t hold it, but we know it is there by the things it moves.
Come discover the wind with us, as we do wind experiments on our hike, and make some windy crafts.
Hands-on-Habitat is a free class for preschoolers and their grown-ups hosted one Friday a month from 9:30am-11am at Fontenelle Forest.
Register today for the March 16, 2018 class! This Event has passed.
